We had both just joined a well known site to meet people from all over the world, and as usual on these sites, you lose a little time wandering around the profiles and having a chat with people with whom you will stop talking after a while.
What made the difference in our case is the fact that Maria didn't know how to use the site and misclicked on my profile more than once,so i decided to send her a message.
In the beginning obviously we did'nt know what to expect from each other but with time we discovered we have many things in common and slowly started to form a bond between us.
After few months we decided that we had to go live together but we didn't succeed because of financial problems, and this started putting our relationship in a situation that requires a lot of mental resistance, some days are really happy, some days instead we would probably like to fight each other, but it is precisely in those moments of desperation that we feel we cannot let things go, that between us there is too much love and that despite everything without each other we couldn't imagine a life.
It would be much easier to say goodbye to each other, pretend that you have never met and continue living alone, continue with your life, but once you find your soul mate, life will never go back to what was before , you would even find it in the small things. That's why we decided to be strong, to hope one day we will be together no matter how long will it take.
And so because we know that there are many people out there in our same situation we have opened this blog and today we will also give you some tips on how to survive and go through this.
1- Put money aside. If your goal is to travel or to move from your beloved one you will need money, for tickets, to find a place to stay, and to survive while trying to integrate with natives and find a job.
2- Try to learn the language. Try to learn the language or at least the most basic forms of a speech because people cannot speak English anywhere, more it will keep you very busy.
3- Finding pastimes. Find couple's pastimes, watch movies and TV series, read books together, or any other activity based on the things you have in common to spend creative time with each other.
4- Take your time alone. Go out for walks and turn off the phone, sometimes to step away for some hours can be good. If Instead, your partner decides that he or she wants to stay a while alone don't try to control what is doing, remember that sending messages to know what he/she is doing while he/she is not with you could give a bad impression, find something to do too, so that when you can talk again not only will you have missed each other but you will also have something to talk about.
5- Make plans. It might be a bit painful knowing that they will not be realized immediately, but making plans can make you feel closer, talk about the future, what you would like to do, where you would like to live, what places you would like to visit together, when you would like to get married, how many children you would like to have, in short, everything a couple hopes to have in the future.
6- Talk a lot about your feelings. Many believe that arguing is wrong and that the perfect relationship is the one where everything tastes like honey or sugar, but it isn't so, it's good in times of stress to communicate fears or to expres disappointment for something, maybe even fighting a little, what matter is to know how to apologize and how to forgive.
